MY RECENT BUYS | JULY - SEPTEMBER 2017

So here we are, once again, me buying clothes I can't afford as usual... Throughout the months of July, August and September I made a promise that when I do treat myself to some clothes, they'll only be summer clothes for my upcoming holiday. The reason I made this promise to myself is because when I look at clothing websites/stores now, it's usually quite hard to get nice summer clothes because basically ALL of their summer stuff is gone and if there are some left, it's either not in my size or it's the stuff in the sales that no one wants, but considering Autumn is my favourite season (especially for fashion), I knew for a fact I'd be tempted into looking at all the new pieces for the new season. Although a few Autumn clothes were bought, majority of them are holiday clothes so I'm giving myself a pat on the back...

So here's another little clothing haul/review post on all of my new buys with direct links to where they're from, as always, click the pic for a direct link to the website (unless stated otherwise!)

** Whilst writing this post, I noticed some of the stuff is now out of stock online (mainly summer clothes) however look in the sales and hopefully you'll still be able to get your hands on them! If not then also try the app, "Depop". This app is my go-to for sold out and/or cheap clothes... Just an awkward time of year to write a blog post like this...

Also, I am aware that most of my pics are me sitting or standing in the same place in my room and I know I have to switch it up now and again but every time I had the time to take pics outside with different scenery and backdrops and trying to look like a "proper blogger", it was raining... worst luck in the world!**

. . . . . .

Okay so I couldn't even count how many times people said to me on the night I wore this, "think you forgot to button up your shirt" or "you might want to finish getting dressed before a night out" but I wanted to show off my new bralet okay!!! It's too cute not to show the world, plus I like the look of an opened, oversized shirt with one side tucked into jeans. Both the shirt and bralet were only purchased a couple of days ago and I'm already OBBSESSEDDDDD.

As I wanted it oversized I decided to go for a large to make sure it's exactly the fit I want. This is a lightweight and summery-looking shirt so it would be great for those still waiting to go on their holidays abroad.

Now, as I've mentioned in my last "Recent Buys" post, buying bralets are my struggle. Being a 32D and choosing either around a size 14 for the bust size or a size 8 for the back size is the most difficult decision ever but luckily I saw this bralet in person so I could judge it a little better than I would be able to online. I decided to go for a size 14 and thank the lordddddd it fits perfectly! Also, even though it's a lacey material it's still so soft and comfy to wear!

**Usually you'd just click the picture for a direct link but as it's two new pieces, click the names in CAPS below...**

BRALET £12

(Please excuse my extra af pose, trying to take a half decent pic with the stripe detail showing was a challenge...)

Living in Scotland, I'll never get the chance to wear these cute runner shorts, however I will be taking them to Thailand!! Like in the pic, I'd pair these with a knotted white t-shirt and some trainers because dressing like your active and a regular gym goer is a lot more fun than actually being one... These are also available in black with red stripes!

PRICE: £10

I feel like everybody and their gran has this top but I think its sooo cute. If you know me then you know I love a good embroidered/graphic tee and this is just one more to add to the collection! This top is perfect for those who want a simple, white top but also don't want to be "boring" or "plain"...

Currently out of stock online :(

PRICE £25

As you all know by now, I'm going to Thailand in November and it takes two longggggggg af flights to get there so I'll need something cosy and comfy to travel in! I love tracksuit sets and so many online clothing brands have them in but unfortunately I only need to bring the one. These bottoms are from Pretty Little Thing and are the COMFIEST joggers in the world. I also bought the matching cropped jumper with I love too (not the one in this pic). What I was a bit annoyed about is the colour. On their website the set looks like a very pale nude colour, however as you can see it's more like a bright peach/orange. Luckily, I don't mind this colour but I did contemplate on returning it as it was so different on their website. The cropped jumper doesn't have a lot of sizes left and the bottoms are now out of stock but as I've mentioned before, wait and see if they come back in or check out apps like "Depop" to see if anyone is selling this set! These also come in black and red.

Click the words in bold instead of the pic to be taken directly to the site...

HOW CUTE IS THIS BRALET THOUGH?! This was bought for my holiday and I've already worn it, oops! It's so simple yet so flattering and I got a lot of compliments when wearing it. I bought this top for £20 and its now on sale for only £5!!! So many sizes in stock too considering it's so low in price... 100% recommend this top, holiday or not!

PRICE: £5

This skirt was also bought for my holiday however I don't think I'm going to take it. I LOVE it but its quite small made and tight around the legs/bum area. I'd exchange this but I stupidly binned the packaging/receipts/tags and can't do anything about it now... Just like the bralet, this skirt is down from £20 to £5 and it's such a bargain!! I'd just order a size up if I were you because I can barely walk in this and my bum looks so flat it's that squashed. In saying that the waist size is perfect so it really is a gamble when buying. PRICE: £5

No matter what kind of sunny holiday you go on, everyone needs a pair of high waisted, ripped shorts in their suitcase, especially if they're pink! These were bought at the beginning of July from Primark so I doubt they'll still have them, mainly because their stuff like this just flies off the shelves at that time of year because they're so cheap, however I'll still add them in this haul just in case you see a pair hiding at the back of a rail or something! If not, then check Depop as there are so many shorts of this style on there... PRICE: £10

Knotted "guys" tops are my obsession atm. Although it's a very casual look, there's something about a knot in the middle that makes it that more girly and effortless and I've been ruining all of my tops this summer by doing it but oh wellllll. This Vans top also comes in a baby blue colour! PRICE: £25

I think these are the most beautiful swimsuits I've ever owned. I'M IN LOVE. Both of these were on Asos but didn't have my sizes in stock, but I couldn't stop thinking about them so I just searched "Asos marble print bikini" and "Asos plunge cheetah print swimsuit" on Depop and found them straight away! I'm not too sure about the cheetah print one but so many girls are selling the marble one on there (also comes in a swimsuit version) so I highly recommend looking on there if you need them in your life as much as I did! My tan lines are going to look crazy but at least I'll look cute... PRICES: As they're not online anymore, prices will vary depending on seller.

This 50's inspired bikini is so beautiful and I can't wait to wear it. Gingham print is everywhereeeee right now and I'm kind of sick of seeing it but it still doesn't stop me from buying it. This was purchased from Asos and there are SO MANY different styles of bikinis in this same print. Simply search "Asos gingham bikini" and there are tonnes of choices to choose from if you don't like a high waisted bottom/bandeau top (however this top comes with removable straps). They also do this print in red and white, possibly more colours but I've not had a proper look. GINGHAM BANDEAU BIKINI TOP: £5 (was £18) GINGHAM HIGH WAISTED BIKINI BOTTOMS: £9 (was £18)

Please try to ignore the embarrassing creases this swimsuit, it was found crumpled at the bottom of my drawer... I bought this orange plunge/backless swimsuit from Topshop at the beginning of July and it is now out of stock online. However as I've explained before, I'll still tell you the price and where it was from so you can maybe find it elsewhere. This swimsuit is soooo flattering and the colour is so summery. Who doesn't love a backless swimsuit??

PRICE: £24

Anything that's an olive green/mustard colour I'm alllllll over.... it's an obsession. Last but definitely not least is this shimmery, frilly crop top from Pretty Little Thing. I bought this for my holiday but I've already given in and worn it on a night out but can you blame me?? It's so flowy and lightweight, making it perfect for hotter weather! PRICE: £15 (also comes in a blush pink colour which is only £8!)

xoxo
